Legal contracts often include multiple “boilerplate” provisions that seemingly have nothing to do with actual business terms. While businesses accept the need for such provisions in their contracts, they often do not take the time to analyze them to see if they are necessary or if they should be revised.
Now that 2020 is well underway, it is a good time for businesses to review their contract templates and any other documents used in day-to-day operations. Businesses often are either too busy to review their contracts or are too attached to their templates to make changes. Yet, the contract that establishes a business’s relationship with its clients is arguably a business’s most important document.
